   VEL RANGARAJAN AND DR.SAKUNTHALA RESEARCH FOUNDATION for Medicine and Technology was begun
  Ms.K.Chitralekha,VT 423,Student belonging to IT branch of Vel Tech Engineering College achieved the 2ND Rank awarded by University of Madras in the April 2003 Examination.
  Ms.R.Yamuna,VT 676,Student belonging to E&I branch of Vel Tech Engineering College achieved the 6TH Rank awarded by University of Madras in the April 2003 Examination.
  Ms.B.Balaji,VT 673,Student belonging to E&I branch of Vel Tech Engineering College achieved the 14TH Rank awarded by University of Madras in the April 2003 Examination.
  Ms.S.Prassana,VT 425,Student belonging to IT branch of Vel Tech Engineering College achieved the 2ND Rank awarded by University of Madras in the April 2003 Examination.
   1ST CONVOCATION DAY was conducted on April 4,2003 by issuing 653 degrees to students.
   LORD AYAPPAN HALL OF DIVINITY was opened.
   NCC AIR WING was started.
   To bring the innovative talents of the students EKLAVYA Program was started on January 26,2003. 

    Our Institution step into a new project by starting a research centre named VEL RANGARAJAN AND DR.SAKUNTHALA RESEARCH FOUNDATION FOR MEDICINE AND TECHNOLOGY.

      An excellent program was conducted for the students who are about to enter into College life named as VETRI NICHAYAM. In this program 5000 students participated.

      The       The VEL TECH (Owned by Rs Trust) begun at Avadi, Alamathi road, chennai-62 with 4 departments involving 201 students and 32 staff members.
